Switch Apps is a trading name of VisualEye Limited, formed in 2003 and privately owned by the two co-directors Damon Eastwood and Juye Symons, who both work full-time for the business. Switch Apps are registered Microsoft and Apple Developers working from offices in Spectrum, located in central St Helier, Jersey. Switch Apps is an Eco-Active Level 2 Business Member and Damon is an active member of the local business community via the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Institute of Directors, 7:45 Breakfast Club and a board member of Creative Jersey.
I've been burnt before. Why can I trust Switch Apps?
We have many clients who have had the misfortune to come across either a travelling salesman, been let down by an independent freelance worker or have been palmed off to an account manager from their appointed agency.
We're an intentionally small team and we have turned down opportunities to merge with larger companies because we wish to remain a company where the people you meet and speak to are the same people working on your projects. We want to personally manage your project and we enjoy meeting clients face to face. Both directors are raising families in Jersey and have committed to a long-term lease on the office. We're here to stay.
We are very honest when it comes to pitching for your business as we don't want to take on projects that we can't add value to. If the project is not right for us or our platform is not appropriate to your business then we will tell you, and where we can, we will recommend alternative providers and options. Our reputation is important to us and taking on projects that we aren't a good fit for would damage that reputation.
As we work with multiple partner companies that are competitors to each other, we operate on a fully transparent basis and pricing structure to them and our mutual clients.
I'm aware that the quality and price of websites can greatly vary, what standard do you build sites to?
As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. This not only applies to the technology that you choose to power your online business, but also to the relationship with your chosen web development company.

We backup your data hourly to ensure peace of mind. We take our clients work, privacy and data seriously and aren't here to compete on price with your friend's nephew.

Why should I choose Switch Apps over their competitors?
Further to the points above about working directly with owners of the business, the model of Switch Apps is very different to our competitors, many of whom are also clients.
Switch Apps is a web development company and we believe in focusing on being the very best at what we do and aligning ourselves with specialists for the requirements of each project. The modern agency is small, specialist and flexible. We don't believe Jersey can commercially sustain an agency that has enough staff that are great at their specialism rather than average at everything. We believe the price-point, quality and diversity of our offering in comparison to our competitors clearly demonstrates the benefits of our business and technology model.
We've seen the model many of our competiitor's use in hosting and supporting multiple instances of various platforms on different versions and with customisations. This creates an increasingly complex support requirement that incurs cost and slows down future development of that platform. We've felt that pain in the past and you can read the reasoning behind why we decided to build our SiteBuilder platform.
We are a small company supporting upwards of 100 websites. This is made possible by having a single platform to maintain and all of our clients are always on the latest and greatest version.
